Van Halen headlined the 1986 Texxas Jam in Dallas during the 5150 era, with Sammy Hagar at the microphone. Dio, Loverboy, Krokus, Keel and Bachman–Turner Overdrive shared the bill. For fans of that summer, the lineup means more than six names: it brings back a day, a place and a particular sound.

A familiar concert design. A new layer.
