VINTAGE RIOT · TEXXAS JAM ’78

The first jam.
The feeling never left.

One day. Twelve acts. A Texas summer that still belongs in your rotation.

JULY 1, 1978
COTTON BOWL · DALLAS, TEXAS

White 1978 Texxas Jam tee, cowboy and Texas front artwork

Before it became a legend,
it was somebody’s Saturday.

The first Texxas Jam brought Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Heart, Journey and a young Van Halen to the Cotton Bowl on July 1, 1978. A scorching Dallas day. A bill worth keeping. The start of a summer rock tradition.

If you were there, the names may bring the whole day back. If you grew up with these records, you already know why this lineup matters.

The music stayed with you. Let the shirt tell the story.

THE FRONT

Texas pride. Guitar turned up.

The guitar-playing cowboy, Texas outline and red-and-blue ’78 artwork give the front its unmistakable festival character. Pair it with jeans, or let the graphic show beneath an open jacket.

THE BACK

Turn it around.
There’s your lineup.

Concert-poster lettering brings the twelve-act bill together, with the Cotton Bowl location and July 1 date beneath it. A front-and-back tribute to the show that started it all.

For the fan who still turns it up.

Keep it for your own collection, or give it to the friend who still talks about that lineup. There’s a whole conversation on the back.

A few details before you choose.

What’s included in the design?

A short-sleeve crewneck tee with the cowboy-and-Texas graphic on the front and the twelve-act commemorative design on the back.

Is this an original shirt from 1978?

This is a retro commemorative tee inspired by the 1978 event, rather than an original concert-worn garment from that year.

Which sizes can I choose?

S–4XL are listed in the size selector. Check the product size guide before ordering and compare it with a tee you already wear. Choose by measurements rather than the size letter alone.

Some summers stay with you.
Wear the memory.

Love that faded charcoal color with the red and blue Texas design. Looks like something you'd find in an old box of concert shirts from back in the day. They sure don't make memories like those anymore

If you grew up listening to rock in the 70s, you know exactly what this shirt is about. Nothing fancy, just great music and memories that never fade.

Every time I see something from the old Texxas Jam days, I think about my buddies, our first cars and all the crazy concerts we went to. Would give anything to relive one of those summers

Aerosmith, Heart, Van Halen, Journey... now THAT was a lineup! I still listen to those bands today. Seeing all those names together takes me right back

1978, what a year to be young! Long hair, loud music, cheap gas and weekends that seemed to last forever. This shirt brings back a whole lot of memories

Linda

Reminds me of the old concert shirts we used to wear everywhere. Hard to believe 1978 was almost 50 years ago. Sure brings back some good memories

Man, seeing Aero smith, Ted Nugent, Heart and Van Halen on the back takes me straight back to the summer of '78. Those were some incredible days for rock music. Love the old-school look of this shirt
